How did Swiss Finance equip you with the skills to find a job in the industry of your choice?
I had never taken finance classes before and in the end I gained the kind of confidence I never thought possible. Don’t get me wrong, it was difficult, but I was encouraged to work ever harder. The environment and student residence were the best I have ever experienced. Although my training at Swiss Finance is finished, the spirit of the course will stay with me forever. The training gave me the confidence and competitive edge to excel in any pursuit – whether in finance or otherwise.
Notes from the participant's academic and career journal at Swiss Finance:
Lessons for today were a real wake up call. Investment banking is one of the hardest jobs in the world! I knew it would be difficult, but I had no real idea of what a time/intellectual commitment it would be. We had examples of constructing financial statements. We learned about market value and book value, discounted cash flow, how to analyze financial statements, EBITDA and EBIT, assets, liabilities, equity, and DCF… all in all a very exhausting day…
