How did Swiss Finance equip you with the skills to find a job in the industry of your choice?
To be honest, one of the best lessons I learned at Swiss Finance was coping with the intensity of the program. I gained an internship at a trading boutique and I was not only prepared to do the work required of me but also to work alongside the traders, keeping their pace, because I was already used to doing so at Swiss Finance. I was always prepared and on the ready to do what was asked of me and this impressed the boutique. I know that with enough endorsements such as those I received at my internship, my path to a prosperous career in finance will be mine.
Notes from the participant's academic and career journal at Swiss Finance:
I am creating a dictionary. Every night before I go to bed I copy the terminology I have been exposed to during the day along with the meaning of each word. After adding entries to my finance dictionary I go over every entry. Some of the terms I simply know now and it feels wonderful not having to look at the meaning and simply knowing. Yet, I am not ready with all the terminology yet and I am adding more every day. But I know that this is lifelong learning. Our instructors told us that new terminology is constantly being added to describe new industry occurrences. When we first started this program, we would look all confused and try so desperately to speak as our instructors do; it is coming more naturally every day. I think we are all proud of ourselves for coming so far so fast.
